FLAVOR. That’s what this flour is all about. We grew this golden durum on the family farm this last summer. Today we are stone-milling it into flour and sending that fine, flour fresh to you. Stunning deep yellow/gold wheat!
Traditionally used for pasta making and pizza dough. This is 100% sifted 00 stone-milled durum flour. We like to cut it 50/50 with our sifted white label Rouge de Bordeaux for the BEST pizza crust flavor imaginable. Even just 15% durum is noticeable in recipes and adds so much flavor & texture!
Stone-milled flour is packed with flavor and nutrient benefits that modern roller mills can’t compete with. Slower to make? Yes. Worth it? 100%
We are excited to grow this durum and this Rouge de Bordeaux heritage wheat on our Montana family’s ranch/farm. “Lewistown Flour Co.” is our new venture to grow & mill locally, and share the goodness with all friends of the channel and our small town.
