Bagged by us here on the ranch. 7 lbs of Rouge de Bordeaux heritage (1800s variety) wheat berries. This bag is modeled after the original 1800s flour advertisement in our small town.
We grow this wheat here in Montana where wheat develops the highest protein based on our weather conditions & creates the best flavor!

Rouge De Bordeaux is a heritage wheat variety that has a nutty, almost cinnamon flavor. It's roots are in ancient Roman times, where it was then saved by the monks and taken to remote regions of France, which leads us to today, where this wheat still exists! And has a brilliant history of being beloved by French bakers throughout the 1800s/1900s.
We are excited to grow this on our Montana ranch/farm. “Lewistown Flour Co.” is our new family venture to grow & mill locally, and share the goodness with all friends of the channel and our small town.
