You know that I LOVE my handmade wooden box for holding matches. This is a perfect bowl for holding matches; turned of Montana mesquite wood by Eldon Foster. Comes with fitted lid. My matchbox has been with me for well over a decade and a half now, in use daily. This bowl reminds me of my matchbox. It would be perfect for holding matches, or trinkets, or gold coins. A stunning, hand-turned piece.
In our ancestor's day, wooden storage bowls were far more common & could be made at home--common practice in the days before the factory. A lost art today, turning wooden bowls from native Montana woods is Eldon Foster's speciality. He works from his shop, out on his Montana ranch.
One handmade bowl, 4 1/2"wide x 5" tall. Handmade, one of a kind
